A domestic disturbance call, in which a woman was beaten and reportedly had a TV thrown at her Saturday, resulted in the arrest of a Jackson man.
Northampton County Sheriff's Office Deputy Patrick Jacobs responded to a domestic disturbance call on Fire Tower Road, according to Captain Chuck Hasty.
Jacobs spoke with Otis Junior Hewitt, 63, about the matter and was told he wanted the victim to leave. Jacobs noticed the victim's eye was swollen. She told him Hewitt allegedly struck her with his hand and threw a TV at her, which caused a foot injury.
Hewitt was charged with assault on a female and assault with a deadly weapon.
He was jailed without the opportunity for bond due to the case being a domestic situation.
