With more than 600 in attendance, Jim Redwine, owner of Redwine’s Garage and Parts Sale, was presented with the 2013 HDA Truck Pride Truck Service Expert of the Year Award.
The award was presented during the HDATP Annual Meeting in Phoenix in April.
In 1973, Redwine rented a one bay garage with no heat, a single light and no air compressor to begin his venture of fixing trucks.
Fast forward 42 years, Redwine now has two locations, 18 technicians, six double bays, five single bays and five road service vehicles.
Redwine’s Garage and Parts offers complete truck and trailer repair with the latest test equipment, including front end alignments and authorized Cat and Cummins repair services.
Redwine’s Garage and Parts facilities are located in Garysburg and Emporia. They service the I-95 corridor from Virginia to North Carolina.
He still enjoys working on trucks and making road calls; he doesn’t mind getting out of bed at 4 a.m. because he knows he’s helping someone get back on the road.
Redwine has focused his business on the needs of the traveling trucker.
Redwine’s Garage and Parts joined the HDA Truck Pride Truck Service Experts program in 2011.
The program provides Redwine’s with a national identity, training and relationships with vendors through their partnership with Stone Truck Parts.
Redwine’s Garage and Parts has done everything HDATP has asked of them; from extraordinary signage that promotes the HDA Truck Pride identity in their community to participation in all aspects of training, Business Development Training, as well as technical training.
HDA Truck Pride is North America's largest independent provider of parts and services to the commercial vehicle aftermarket.
