A Saturday evening drowning victim has been identified as a 30-year-old Enfield man, according to the Roanoke Rapids Police Department.
Larry Silver drowned in water off the beach of Roanoke Rapids Lake Park.
Captain Andy Jackson said this morning Silver, who was at the park with family and friends, was not an accomplished swimmer.
Police received the call shortly after 6 p.m. Silver was recovered from the water shortly before 7 p.m.
