A woman being sought for cashing checks on a closed account was arrested Monday, according to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.
Detective Obert Wiltsie said Roanoke Rapids police arrested Sabrina Dent, 59, after she called to turn herself in. She was charged on 17 outstanding warrants the sheriff's office filed against the 59-year-old Roanoke Rapids woman for worthless checks.
She received a $2,000 bond and a court date of August 13.
